Nubania to the rescue.

Have you ever just wanted to get away from the clutter, noise, and control of many social media sites? How long does it take you to get upset at what has been posted? Minutes? Less?

The focus on Nubania.com isn’t conflict or trolling. It’s a place to escape the negatives and create. You can come here, belong, and become whatever you put your mind to in a positive way.

As your king, I’m here to help you along the way and I look forward to seeing how you display your imagination in your countries and cities.

Social media and kids

How do you control what your kids do on the internet? With Nubania.com it’s easy. Nubania.com is perfect for families who don’t mind that their kids are on social media, but want to be able to monitor their usage. A family can have the main group (a country) and then let the kids create subgroups (cities) in it. These subgroups are virtual clones of the main group so the kids can post text, photos, videos, comments, polls, etc. just like their parents do.

Privacy settings let parents decide who can and cannot become part of their country and cities. They can even hide their country and cities so only extended family and friends know they exist.

Cool, huh? Just one more great reason to join us!

Aggression

I see aggression almost everywhere. It’s actually encouraged. Bullying is prevalent and strangely most of the bullying comes from people who say they are against it.

The system says, “Succeed as much as you can, but whatever you achieve doesn’t belong to you.” It’s perverse, yet if you take a look around that’s what you’ll find. I suppose that’s the core of socialism and communism. Nothing you have achieved using hard work and your God-given talents belongs to you.

We don’t have bullying or covetousness in Nubania.com. Everyone has an equal opportunity to join and build a country and cities without fear of them being taken away. Country and city owners control who they let in and what those people can do. This is liberating and completely different than the environments most of us have to live in where loss, division, and conflict are the norms.

Why Nubania?

Why Nubania? Good question. Let me give you some backstory. It involves who I am, my experiences growing up and going to school, and the things I discovered from my students when I was a substitute teacher years later.

I’ve always wanted to “be somebody” and to have mattered in a positive way. One of my favorite quotes is from Henry David Thoreau. He said, “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” How tragic and true. I don’t want that to be me and I know a lot of people who don’t want that to be them, either.

When I was a substitute teacher in Florida I had the opportunity to teach learning-disabled kids. I absolutely loved it. These weren’t behavior problems kids – these were great kids. They just had trouble wrapping their heads around some of the things being taught. They would tell me they were being made fun of by the other kids. My response? Don’t worry about it. Those kids will be working for you some day.

Another opportunity I had was being a long term substitute art teacher in middle school. That was probably the toughest and most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life. I had 5 classes of 30 students every day and almost none of the students wanted to be there. When I started, I asked the students to write me a letter about anything they wanted. The letters I got floored me. I couldn’t believe the problems they were having and the level of confusion, anger, depression, and hopelessness. No wonder so many students were killing themselves.

When I retired, those experiences kept circling in my head and I decided to create a space where people of all ages could escape to and be someone special. I’ve done my best to offer that in Nubania.com. I’ve tried to create as much freedom as possible to be unique, creative, protected, and “to matter”. I do minimal tracking, I don’t data mine or sell member data, I don’t accept advertising or allow other companies access to my members – at least not knowingly. This is in stark contrast to most social media platforms you’re involved in today.

So…if you’d like to be more than a number – someone special – then I invite you to join us.
